hello. just wanted to ask if it's better to consume them frozen or wait for them to thaw out, to consume a bunch of them together or to take a small amount everyday for a while, what I know so far is that it's best taken an empty stomach and to be fasting for some hours afterwards. if a person needed to finish their crapsules asap for time limtiations, would taking 50-100 caps in a single day be wise? would it be less effective? do let me know all the science behind this that you know.

I see. thanks for the links. about colonization resistance, it typically happens because there're already a lot of bacteria in the gut right? what if someone's gut was 99% devoid of bacteria after heavy antibiotics? what are all the things that affect colonization resistance?

Yes, but it's much more than that. There's also the mucus layer and the immune system. There are many components of the gut microbiome that hinder colonization.

No such thing. The closest thing is "germ-free mice". Antibiotics have not worked for this purpose in humans: https://humanmicrobiome.info/fmt/#before-the-procedure

There are more links and discussion here: https://forum.humanmicrobiome.info/threads/mucosal-microbiota-transplant-clearing-the-gut-mucosa-prior-to-fmt.393/

so, could you explain to me in what cases would the mucus layer and immune system hinder colonization? is it a genetic difference, like some people just have more mucus? and in case of immune system, I'm guessing inflammation would be the biggest known factor is that right? since it kills bacteria and all.
