I’ve been having awful brain fog and mold issues for the past few years. I got a biome stool test 2 years ago and it said I had horrible dysbiosis. I have tried berberine, dysbiocide, prebiotics and fiber, etc. and my brain fog is horrible.

What’s more is that my entire face is puffy, probably because of horrible leaky gut causing an allergic type response throughout my body.

I’m terrified and think the only way badck to being normal, is maybe an FMT at this point. My stool test 2 years ago said my proteobacteria was like 36%! It’s probably worse now….

Any suggestions? I would really appreciate advise! Thanks.

A stool test from two years ago is not relevant today. And if proteobacteria is your only concern, then I'd argue you're overreacting. Your face being puffy could be for many things--which includes things not related to your gut. The cause of your puffy face could also be what's causing the brain fog. An FMT is not some miracle treatment. Sure, it could cure gut dysbiosis, but it could also make it worse or kill you in the worst case. It all depends on the quality and health of the donor.

My advice is go find a doctor to run some basic tests on you and stop freaking out. Seriously, emotional stress translates to oxidative stress in the body, reducing the body's resources.

Did you review the wiki? https://humanmicrobiome.info/testing/

That's generally correct.

This is misleading to the point of being misinformation. Presumably they have already seen a doctor and ruled out other causes. It is very rare that something like this is not related to the gut microbiome.

Indeed. I have been to many doctors and gotten many labs and my blood markers are generally normal.

What’s more, is that my facial puffiness is almost certainly tied to my gut, as I have tried antimicribials in the past with some success at killing stuff in my gut, and my puffiness would massively decrease until I ain’t more prebiotics and fiber and got
worse again alongside more brain fog.

I have read certain parts of the wiki.
