Has anyone here tried the GutID microbiome test and have any feedback on it? I’m considering getting a kit. I’ve tried Viome and was not impressed with their results.

In what way were you not impressed with Viome's results? Did they indicate your gut was "normal" despite you feeling very poor? That's how Thryve (now Ombre) was for me.

I read about GutID and it seems the chief advantage they claim is that they identify bacteria down to the strain level. However, I looked through the references (on the "Our Science" page), and none of them give the strain of any of the bacteria they found. In the sample reports (found under each test on the "Why GutID?" page, under "Resources"), where they list "beneficial" and "detrimental" bacteria for each disease/symptom, they also only give for example "Escherichia coli" and don't say whether it's a toxin-producing strain--yet right at the top of the "Our Science" page, they claim that "shallow sequencing only shows the presence of E. coli" while their method offers "Strain Level Identification of Toxic E. coli". So I wonder where this more in depth information actually appears in the report, if anywhere. And that's the whole selling point of why they're supposedly better than Ombre, Viome, etc.
