I took antibiotics for 6 months in 1997 for skin boils. It changed my digestion and metabolism from solid to weak and slow. In 2005 I took ceftin for a sore throat and tooth ache for 3-4 days after which I developed all kinds of skin symptoms and vaginal burning. I tested positive for candida on doctors data test and organic acid test and treated that with herbals/ nystatin/ itrazonacole most recently in 2024. Also tested positive for hypersensitivity to candida in 2006. These symptoms evolved into becoming chronic urticaria/ hives in 2008. I also developed periodontal disease and hyporthyroidism and adrenal fatigue during this time. To me it seems they are all related to dysbiosis. My GI Map shows low akkermansis and Faecalabacterium with some overgrowths but no c-diff. I managed to keep chronic hives under control with homeopathy and avoidance of yeast foods/ sugars but the for last 2-3 years they have been out of control with daily hives to a point of disability and being home bound. I had to have major dental surgery to replace upper jaw with bridge because of bone loss from low grade inflammation. I had menopause 3 years ago and while on HRT was having horrible bloating and vomiting etc. and doctor felt its GI related. FMT was suggested but I am not sure how to assess my symptoms as a use case and what to expect and how to go about it. Any help is appreciated.
