I've been doing it in patient communities that I've been a member of. I don't have "outreach materials".
I detailed some of my experiences here:

Idiocracy, Part 2. Poorly functioning laypeople.
Most recently, I emailed hundreds of Human Microbes recipients, most of whom are in the US and got better from the treatment, and only two were willing to email Congresspeople. That is the kind of insane and irrational laziness and self-destructive behavior I've been up against.
Many times, I have wished that people would just plainly tell me what they are thinking, because I have trouble intuiting their thoughts/intentions and I miss social cues and misinterpret their messages.
But the reason people do not bluntly come out and give you feedback on what they are thinking is because it would be a violation of a social rule called "Be nice, be polite, do not insult people." Typically, outlining their thoughts in a straightforward, honest manner would be too insulting, so they give "hints" or other indirect forms of communication involving cues, but without straightforwardness its very hard to decipher what is going on.
So, I am going to give you some straightforward feedback, just in case these aren't things you have already considered. This is absolutely going to violate the "be nice, don't insult people" rule and I am uncomfortable making this post because it may be perceived as attacking and insulting, but its not my intention, and I hope that this can be helpful; I believe there is merit and value to what you have been trying to do all these years and I want you to find a way to be successful.

I was so incredibly disgusted and pissed off by the behavior of these people. Fucking leeches.

Possibility #1: There could be low-quality recipients/wanna-be-recipients. Some of these people may be quite sketchy people. Their motivations may not be health-related. Thus, their unwillingness to participate in the cause.
Possibility #2: Concerns about legality; they may be thinking, isn't this all illegal or something? Could I get in trouble by participating? This is a concern I myself have while I am posting on this site's forum. I feel there are certain risks I am taking by just posting on this forum, which make me slightly uncomfortable.
For instance, I created a subreddit (
/r/FMTClinics) where people could post their experiences so that we could keep track of the efficacy and safety of various options (
since those clinics weren't doing so themselves), enabling people to make more informed decisions. Yet almost no one bothered to use it (
almost all posts are me sharing other's experiences), and instead opted to just continue to blindly pick whatever source of FMT they felt like.
Possibility #1: Reddit itself as a website/platform is not a high-value source of information. Therefore, a collection of subjective, unverifiable user experiences posted by a non-medical, non-doctor user on reddit is not a high-value source of information. Thus, people are not going to take it seriously. An example of a high-value source of information would be a study published in a reputable medical journal by a doctor or team of professionals conducting a clinical trial.
Possibility #2: Yes, people are lazy and unwilling to search, even if there was such data in a pubmed study/trial.
Possibility: They didn't ban you for the non-existent rule, they came up with a reason to ban you because the real reason was that they got into an ego battle with you and their frustration grew to that point. But I am seeing a lot of feedback in their comments that has merit. I see a pattern here in your banning: the way you go about communicating with them causes an ego battle.
You are correct that people are not logical; they are emotional.
I contacted hundreds of very healthy people directly. One example is a university athlete whose dad needed a kidney transplant. I explained (and cited) the role of the gut microbiome in kidney function and the potential for FMT to negate the need for organ transplants. I was offering $2,000 per month to be a stool donor, and/or $2,500 per donor referral.
The result was no reply, and blocked.
Possibility: Because his father was ill, this guy was already in a fragile/delicate emotional state and not likely to be able to think in a logical manner about the situation. It is likely that he misinterpreted your intention as trying to profit off of his father's health situation. There really was no way to approach this person with this offer in a way that he could have perceived it as you had intended it. Sometimes, you cannot win; this is one of those situations.
I've seen various political debates in a "swing state" where one of the candidates was clearly far more competent and intelligent than their opponent. I concluded that, due this obvious fact, they would win easily. In each case the opposite happened, and it left me bewildered.
This would indeed support the possibility that people are much more emotional rather than logical creatures.
The average person I observe and interact with online is incredibly stupid. The parenting subs in particular seem to be an alarming demonstration of
Idiocracy in action. They're not sending their best, that's for damn sure. In our dystopia where the vast majority of people are poorly functioning idiots, some of the dumbest & unhealthiest ones are the ones creating humanity's future.
Possibility: People on those forums are not there for the purpose of sending their best; they are there for other reasons. Perhaps validation and attention. Perhaps connecting to others. Perhaps to get ideas about parenting. Perhaps because they feel lonely and overwhelmed as a parent and would like emotional support. Etc.
I had a similar experience with a moderator of a major science subreddit. This moderator has a biology PhD. They removed a submission saying they won't allow science that has the potential to offend people. This is incredulous. Someone with this attitude towards science should have never been able to get any science degree, let alone a PhD.
Possibility: The moderator wanted you to find a way to engage the audience with the submission in a way that would not trigger an ego battle and drama in the subreddit, and if there was no way to do so, then he would prefer you did not post the link
I think one cause is that many of these parents are like horses with blinds on. Completely lacking cognitive plasticity. There's only one straight path in front of them, and they freak out if they see any object that might require them to reassess or change course.
Possibility: Once the ego battle has been engaged, and pride is hurt, the reasoning part of the mind shuts down and its too late.
It would be better if people were able to move their egos aside and engage at an intellectual level, but that isn't realistic; they are not going to do that when they perceive something that is triggering their ego. So, in dealing with people, you have to find a way not to engage their egos.
Now, having said that, I sincerely hope that I didn't do that myself here in this post.
