Hi, I live in SF, and have been dealing with ulcerative colitis for almost 20 years. I've mostly managed it with diet and exercise. I've been exploring peptide therapies and during my research, came across FMT as a potentially life altering experience. In that research was Microbiota Therapeutics clinical trials, and I was wondering if anyone has had positive or negative experience with them? This is their website: https://microbiota-therapeutics.umn.edu/
Thank you.
SF lady.

If they did, it would be under the FMT clinics & commercial stool providers | experiences & reviews section.

If you search for them on the forum, you can see that they're one of the worst sources of stool that exists. The person running it seems apathetic about donor quality, and thus their donors even failed for C. diff. https://forum.humanmicrobiome.info/search/1820611/?q=umn&c[title_only]=1&o=date

More results mentioning the person who runs it: https://forum.humanmicrobiome.info/search/1820658/?q=Khoruts&o=date

I remember emailing the people involved long ago. Never heard back from them. I wouldn't trust them.

Likely because they're only interested if you're either a hospital or a researcher coming to them with a clinical trial proposal. It likely has nothing to do with them being a good or bad source (though the failure for C. diff implies they're not a very good one at all) but rather that they have a blanket policy of not responding to arbitrary members of the public wanting to ask FMT questions. Such a professionally distant policy is likely almost required if they want to stay squarely on the FDA's good side.
