During my recent fecal transplant, I took 30 transplant pills a day for several days in a row. I was inflamed, sick, and fatigued for several days during and after the treatment, but I feel significantly better now with less inflammation, allergies and lethargy. During my previous fecal transplant, I took 5-10 pills daily for a month and I had much less beneficial effects afterwards. Michael recommends in the HumanMicrobiome wiki guide straight up drinking a large amount of the transplant, but there is not a lot of information to corroborate this or figure out any positive or negative effects. I am interested in personal anecdotes about what your transplant dosages have been and has anyone noticed any difference between large and small dosages, and short term and long-term dosages.

Ive had some success taking 20-30 pills per day. I did this for about 30 days with 2 different donors and the bacteria were able to colonize.

I checked the wiki and I don't see that it recommends drinking large amounts. I see that it says swallowing/drinking is an option, but doesn't recommend it per se and doesn't mention volume.

Personally, I did not find that large amounts were better. Some of the strongest reactions I had were from small amounts (as little as 0.5-1 capsule).

The section on doses has mixed evidence https://humanmicrobiome.info/fmt/#dose.
