Modulate the microbiome with raw human/cow milk as alternative to FMT?

Unfortunately, most people don't seem to see the value in documenting their experiments in a systematic manner that can be found & searched by other people. They just leave random comments here and there.

Donors Amish as stool donors for FMT

In my experience, nearly everyone is horrible at judging stool quality, even after training them to identify the best stools, and it being in their interest to do so. I've only come across one other person besides me who seems to be capable of it. So it's either take the photos to show me...

Donors Amish as stool donors for FMT

The main issues for me would be that they live in secluded areas, so they're not easy to screen & use. And because of their health issues, and from what video coverage I've seen of them, they don't seem promising enough as donors for me to want to bother with them. However, if someone else...

Blog The FDA and FMT regulation, part 2. (Jul 2024, HumanMicrobes.org) I met with the FDA. Here's what I shared with them, and their response.

Someone posted on the Effective Altruism forums about it, and directly contacted a group of athletes involved with EA. Nothing came of it. I've commented on the EA and LessWrong websites about it, and have had some really poor responses that made me averse to those websites. Eliezer Yudkowsky...

Is a lot of probiotics the same as FMT? Anyone try VSL 3? I’m trying a high dose (around 230 billion CFU daily)

If you take FMT that lackadaisically, you're likely to get worse. What you listed is not how you select & screen a donor. https://humanmicrobiome.info/fmt/ This does not exist.

Not even close. Probiotics can be, and often are, highly disruptive. https://humanmicrobiome.info/probiotic-guide/ In large part, the opposite of FMT.

I’m terrified and don’t want to eventually develop a horrible disease, my gut is ruined! Help!

Did you review the wiki? https://humanmicrobiome.info/testing/ That's generally correct. This is misleading to the point of being misinformation. Presumably they have already seen a doctor and ruled out other causes. It is very rare that something like this is not related to the gut microbiome.

FMT and COVID-19, vaccines. Any concerns about COVID vaccination affecting FMT quality? Does it matter if the donor is vaccinated?

One should be extremely cautious, especially because, in my opinion, there are no safe sources of FMT right now. But further discussion of that in this thread is off-topic.

FMT and COVID-19, vaccines. Any concerns about COVID vaccination affecting FMT quality? Does it matter if the donor is vaccinated?

The wiki has a page on this that includes a section covering vaccines' impacts on the gut microbiome: https://humanmicrobiome.info/immune-system/ There's a good quote from researcher Rob Knight. There are much more important considerations when selecting a donor.
