Two years ago when I read the evaluation for FMT donor qualifications, I didn’t think I could qualify as a donor because never had I had the consistent healthy stool type, among other things.I found this book FPC by Nathan Hatch a little over a year ago and have been slowly implementing things from it, and my health has increased exponentially.
(This looks like going weeks at a time with the healthy stool type, pain free stomach and body, mood improvement, productivity/optimism increased, stronger, insomnia gone, and much more.)
I know this forum is focused around finding donors and using FMT to heal, but I think there’s a peice missing, which Nathan discusses in his book. That even if someone can acquire these beneficial microbes, they may not survive in their body long term unless they are actively changing their lifestyle to support the survival of these microbes.
I think Nathan also brings up a point about high preforming athletes, that they are often not as healthy as an average young, healthy, moderately athletic person, due to the inevitable stress advanced athletes undergo. And in my mind it makes sense why the donors found thus far have not been top athletes.
I’ll also link his website.
I can’t recommend it enough. If your too sick at first to absorb his whole book, I could first start with his recommendations for healing cancer, if you think you have cancer or not it dosnt matter, what he recommends there is supportive of health overall.
Here is an excerpt,
“
“magnetic polarity to defend against microbial adhesion and for this reason plant foods are very difficult to break down without a properly working microbiome supplied with B12, so deficiency of B12 then prevents liberation of nutrients from plant cells by microbes as well as the nutrients produce by our microbes such as other B vitamins, short chain fatty acids, and even the production of amino acids like lysine and GABA since commensal microbes must first adhere to substrate to metabolize it.
This principle of polarity and the function of B12 is why some foods like peas and corn can pass through the gut entirely undigested, as while plants possess other anti-digestive factors like enzyme inhibitors polarity is the most effective defense mechanism. Our own tissues like the epithelial lining of mucosal tissue also uses this same principle to protect ourselves first and foremost from colonization by pathogens. While much of our B12 comes from consumption of meat, shellfish, and insects only microbes can actually produce B12. ”
