Hi,
I have sibo or dysbiosis in small intestine since h pylori infection (now cleared) I have intense upper gut bloating that doesnt go away never not even if i dont eat.
I tried elemental diet, bacteriophages, rifaximin, bactrim, and some herbals. No effect. My stool tests come back fairly good only bugs that dont seem to go away are overgrowths of bilophila and bacteroides. My theory is that i have bacteroides out of balance and they are causing the bloat. Im thinking of taking metro and maybe doing fmt but before that i want to educate myself more on it.
I am interested im how does fmt work in small intestine? Some say it makes microflora there worse some say it can even heal sibo?
If someone can pinpoint me to research done on people with sibo especially h2s please do.

You should check the wiki before asking questions. There's a page on this subject: https://humanmicrobiome.info/sibo/

You may find the H. Pylori page helpful as well: https://humanmicrobiome.info/h-pylori/

The entire digestive system is connected through many mechanisms. You can't conclude that it's only an upper-GI issue because the symptoms appear to be "upper-GI related".

How are donors tested then? If 16s and gi map are not accurate?
Ive checked and havent found anything exceot u test with gi map and then questionaire am i right?

Are there any studies done focused on small intestinal microbiome before and after fmt? (regular fmt not small intestinal transplant)

There is no such thing as "regular FMT, not SI FMT". FMT is regularly done via both the upper and lower routes. The FMT page https://humanmicrobiome.info/fmt/ has lots of studies. You can check the "SIBO" and "routes" sections, and you can search for keywords/phrases like "small intestine".
Well snall intestinal transplant is when they take small intestinal fluid and put it in small intestine of a patient. It was done couple of times but its rare because its hard to obtain.
