I get cold sores easily and have an rx for daily valtrex to minimize outbreaks. What is the effect of this medication on the body’s microbiome?

For that kind of thing, you can search pubmed or google scholar for "[drug name] microbiome". Valtrex is an antiviral, so not something I'd be especially concerned about when it comes to the microbiome.
