Pricing is not related to whether a donor has gone through the blood & stool testing. That would encourage people to take more risks which is not a good idea.

Blog The FDA and FMT regulation. (Mar 2024, HumanMicrobes.org)

A relevant quote (28:00) from Dr. Anthony Fauci on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert Season 9 Episode 107, 6/17/24 about AIDS patients' disagreements with him, the FDA, and clinical trials: I see many people saying on social media, in news articles, etc., "Don't do DIY FMT". But I think a...

Andrew Stafford FMT experience for 4 autoimmune diseases, Crohn's, CFS, celiacs, MS. Significant improvements to conditions and personality

Yes, it's frustrating to see so many people easily cure their condition by using a donor they know and easily got. For most of us, it's much harder. One of the best donors I used was a family member (niece), but they didn't want to do it.

Healthcare system Doctors are not systematically updated on the latest literature. What they're taught in med school is often wrong or gets outdated quickly. The result is the majority of doctors are extremely uninformed/misinformed about many major medical conditions. I believe this is costing many lives. (May 2018)

The obvious solution to me seems to be what I originally assumed would be the case: A national medical board, possibly elected by anyone who holds a medical degree, has the responsibility of reviewing all medical research, voting on changes to standard practice (including medical school...

    Differences in Transplant Dosages?

I checked the wiki and I don't see that it recommends drinking large amounts. I see that it says swallowing/drinking is an option, but doesn't recommend it per se and doesn't mention volume. Personally, I did not find that large amounts were better. Some of the strongest reactions I had were...

I just came across this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mQAnwC6dTkE He tried two different stool donors, but it didn't work. Then he takes iodine and does it again and it works. Planning on raising donor payouts to 1 million dollars per stool, and a half-a-million-dollar referral reward (HumanMicrobes.org)

I was originally doing that, but it's extremely difficult, time-consuming, and largely unfruitful. HM already doesn't advertise anywhere. And in the past, the only advertisements I've purchased were for recruiting donors, which the FDA doesn't care about. Planning on raising donor payouts to 1 million dollars per stool, and a half-a-million-dollar referral reward (HumanMicrobes.org)

The current model is not viable. Under the current circumstances, there is not much demand for the caliber of donor where you pay $1000 for a 50% chance at getting 50% better. Donors are unhappy with the lack of demand, and it may be discouraging new donors as well. I don't think this is a...
